Current Business:

I) Approval of GC2Y 2000: Cultural Violence: Roots, Correlates, & Consequences

Discussion regarding the course as submitted. Lead contact clarified questions from the committee. Committee recommended revisions.

II) Discussion: Faculty Core Survey; Data Analysis

The committee discussed, in depth, findings from the survey of faculty regarding the Core at GC. Discussion focused on identifying key themes that emerged from the narrative statements (open ended questions) in the survey, and several key themes emerged. Along with key themes, the committee began to suggest several recommendations that should be included in the State of the Core report.
A subcommittee has been formed that will carry forth these findings and recommendations and will compose the State of the Core report. This committee work will begin in early March. Their report will be shared with SoCC for review before it is shared with the Provost.
