To adopt the following resolution entitled "Resolution for work of the QEP/SACS/Steering Committees" with the supporting information

Having reviewed the GCSU Quality Enhancement Plan,

Applauding the efforts of GCSU Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Committees, and the Steering Committee,

Noting with concern the issues surrounding the development of the QEP impact response report,

Further applauding the development of the QEP 5th year response report:

1. Endorses the achievements of the QEP/SACS/Steering committees in the use of strategic-focusing initiatives to focus GCSU efforts on Initiatives 3 (review of learning outcomes and general education) and 5 (learning beyond the classroom);

2. Commends the QEP/SACS/Steering committees for making recommendations to meet the SACS standards and the implementation of a university-wide annual assessment program;

3. Appreciates the compilation of the materials from the various teams into a coherent, seamless narrative that meets SACS requirements;

4. Further Proclaims a special thank-you to all involved, including the review board, in the development of the 5th year Mid-term Interim Response Report Production Plan;

5. Takes note of the tremendous responsibility entrusted to the Steering Committee for the development and dissemination of the 5th year Mid-term Interim Response Report. Institutional Planning is important at Georgia College & State University and is guided by a commitment to the role of research, planning, and assessment processes in advancing the university's mission, improving student learning and success, and guiding operational effectiveness.
