Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by Julia Metzker at 1:00 p.m. in Arts & Sciences 2-51.

The agenda was approved as distributed.

Minutes

The minutes from the April 3rd meeting and today’s meeting will be approved next week.

Information Item

ENSC 1050 Sustainability and World Population, which was approved on campus last year for as Area D Non-Science non-laboratory course, was not approved by the system General Education committee for the second time. The committee submitted feedback questioning the extent to which the course addressed scientific principles. Cara will continue to work with Biology and Environmental Sciences to determine if we will submit the course for an additional review.

Action Item

GC2y 2000: Reinterpreting Our Experiences of the World: Cultural Productions into Visual Arts as an Area B2 Section
On the recommendation from the review committee, this section was approved with a vote of 8-0-0.
